ZAP The VAP... Helping To Guard Your Babies Against Ventilator Associated Pneumonia: 1.0 Contact Hour

This one-hour program references CDC guidelines, professional literature and surveys, reviews cost and mortality statistics, presents diagnosis and prevention protocols (bundles) from other hospitals.

The program helps familiarize health care professionals with the pathophysiological basis of VAP and prevention measures to reduce the incidence of infections in the NICU and PICU.

Approved for:
• Continuing Respiratory Care Education (CRCE): 1.0 contact hour by the American Association for Respiratory Care
• Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) Category A: 1.0 contact hour by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses
